3/30 Unanalyzed

The avoidance of the period close to earnings is in my rules, but not everyone agrees. I'm a base hits sort of  player. If I can get on first, I'm happy. Other traders go for home runs, and that style will seek out the weeks before an earnings announcement because that's when the surprises happen.

  • CEPH, bear, news that a drug approval ws being delayed, close to earnings (5/4)
  • CHRS, bear, 17%+ drop on the earnings announcement
  • DD, bear, close to earnings (4/20)
  • DHR, bull, company announces quarterly outlook, marginal adx (24), close to earnings (4/22)
  • EBAY, bear, close to earnings (4/21)
  • EWZ, bull, low adx (14)
  • JPM, bear, close to earnings (4/14)
  • LDK, bear, earnings announcement, low adx (14)
  • LSI, bear, close to earnings (4/28)
  • MMM, bull, news of a business deal in Asia, low adx (11), close to earnings (4/27)
  • SQNM, bull, price up on speculation the companyhas developed a new downs syndrome test, close to earnings (4/29)
  • STX, bear, low adx (12), close to earnings (4/20)
  • SU, bull, low adx (15), close to earnings (4/22)
