5/5 Watchlist: Stocks

Today can scarcely be called a recovery. It's more like boxer staggering after being hit by a well delivered haymaker.

The score today, among the bull signals, is one profitable (a sideways play), one down but still above yesterday's lows, and everything else up intraday.

I'm holding these to see what happens, despite the getouttahere signals that flashed with yesterday's sharp declines.

Stocks that showed Parabolic SAR bull signals:
  • * CIEN, 4/26. Up intraday.
  • CVX, 5/3. Up intraday.
  • PCAR, 4/23. Down within yesterday's range.
  • * UNP, 4/29. Up intraday.
  • XLE, 4/17. I pegged this as a $56 to $60 May iron condor. It's trading around $58, in the profitable range.
  • XLI, 5/3. Up intraday.
Bear signals: None.

Stocks showing a Parabolic SAR bear signal: None.

Stocks of interest (I wouldn't necessarily trade them):
    • FNM4/13, 4/23. Agnostic. Decisively moved below the lower trendline of a symmetrical triangle, thereby breaking the pattern.
