F $11.84 |
The phase switch coincides with reports that Ford is about to shut down the Mercury line of cars, but macd has been toward the zero line for the past five tarding days.
The parabolic sar and Person's Proprietary Signal are showing a disconnect: The psar is in bear mode, and the pps in bull mode.
The price opened above the 20-day simple moving average and then declined to the ma20. A bounce back up would confirm the signals.
The stochastic is moving sideways in overbought territory (above the 80-line).

- $10.42, -12.0%
- $10.17, -14.1% (swing low)
In a broad view, F made a stunning rise from its $1.01 low in November 2008 up to the April 26 high of $14.57. The decline to the most recent swing low, $10.17 on May 21, marked a lower low for the stock, and in fact the descent has shown two lower lows and one lower high. The price would need to exceed $12.87 to set a higher high and to indicate that the uptrend might be resuming. So although the signals are giving Ford a near-term bullish cast, the long-term picture is far from bullish.
