X (United States Steel) Watch

United States Steel Corp. (X) is showing a parabolic sar bear signal, following a one-day bull whipsaw.

X is one of the many stocks who participated in Thursday's Skynet Panic, to the tune of 9% below the eventual close. So the psar, along with some other indicators, must be taken with a huge lump of salt. The psar was poisoned by the abnormal software-driven intraday low, and will remain suspect for maybe 10 trading days or so.

However, for X the macd has been in bear mode since April 9, so a bear signal is not a terribly off-the-wall bet. The average directional index, which was untainted by the panic, has a reading of 30.
