5/3 Other Signals

There were a lot of signals in this morning's scan, in part because I was looking for two days: today but also Friday, when I was unable to scan due to illness, and also because we're moving out of earnings season, and so more stocks are eligible for a look.

As always, the principal filter is a reversal on the parablic sar, followed by trend analysis. I want a strong trend, with a reading of 30 or better and the average directional index, and I'm looking for signals that are in line with the trend.

Trending stocks with counter-trend signals:
  • Bull: ABT
  • Bear: BBBY, DCTH, FFIV, FULT, NETL, SWK, XRT
Insufficiently trending stocks:
  • Bull: AMTD, BSBQ, EWM, GFA, IM, MET, MYL, NLC, PEP, POZN, SWKS, UCO, USO, WAG
  • Bear: ACI, ATI, BTU, CVH, ERIC, FCS, JOYG, MWW, NE, NOV, NVLS, SWN, TC, TNA, UNP, UWM, UYM, WLP, XLB, XME, XOM, XRT
Stocks that were rejected for further analysis aren't necesarily bad trades; they just don't meet my criteria. Traders who put less emphasis on the trend might find some good possibilities among them.
