6/22 Almanac

On Tuesday, June 22: Existing home sales.

There are 25 days before the July options expire, 60 the August and 88 the September.

Stats

Blue chip stocks (SPY) closed the latest regular session down 0.3% from the prior close. During the day SPY traversed 2.1% high to low in a net move down of 1.5%.

Friday's extremes: Open $113.12, high $113.20, low $110.79, close $111.41.

SPY traded both above and below the DeMark pivots and closed within their range. The next DeMark pivots are $109.90-$112.31.

In total, 2.9 billion shares were traded on the three major U.S. stock exchanges, down 20.3% from the prior trading day.

Econ reports:

Existing home sales will be released at 10 a.m. Eastern, with new home sales scheduled for Wednesday.

Also Tuesday, the FHFA house price index will be released at 10 a.m.

Trading Calendar:

By my rules, at this point in the cycle I can trade July covered calls, iron condors, butterflies, and diagonal, calendar and vertical spreads. Also, August single calls or puts. Shares, of course, are good anytime.
