4/19 Watchlist: Stocks

Two bullish successes on the Watchlist: BBY and XRT. Life is good.

GE turns sketchy after earnings are announced, but I'm keeping the signal open.

Stocks that showed Parabolic SAR bull signals:
  • A, analysis.
  • * BBY, analysis. A gap down through two reversal levels and a narrow trading range. The psar remains in bull phase, but the macd and stochastic are deteriorating. Closing the signal as a SUCCESS with a 1.3% gain. (This is also a May options holding, and I'm not closing yet but may rather choose to mitigate the position.)
  • F, analysis.
  • * GE, analysis. Parabolic sar remains in bull phase, but the pps is showing bear the trading day after earnings were announced. Because of earnings connection, I'm going to keep this signal open and see what develops. The price is trading at the low end of Friday's range, but with a net rise.
  • KRE, analysis
  • XLE, analysis. I pegged this as a $56 to $60 iron condor. It is within the max-profit range.
  • XRT, analysis. Psar switches to bear mode, along with the pps. I'm closing the bull signal as a SUCCESS with a 3.5% gain. The bear signal is counter-trend, so XRT won't be moved to the bear list.

Stocks showing a Parabolic SAR bear signal:

Stocks of interest (I wouldn't necessarily trade them):
  • COST, analysis. Bear.
  • FNM, analysis. Agnostic. Continues to trade with last Tuesday's range. The Fibonacci retracement level at $1.21 is acting as upside resistance this afternoon. Go figure!
  • * PALM, analysis. Agnostic. A bear signal on the pps with the psar still in bull phase.
