Wednesday's Finalists: AMGN, KRC, ZBRA, CMS, GLPI, NVO, PVH, DG

Of the five symbols that made it past the early rounds of analysis (see "Wednesday's Prospects"):
  • One failed confirmation by moving back within its 20-day price channel: AMGN
  • Three had insufficient open interest to support a leveraged and hedged trade: KRC, ZBRA, CMS
  • One had an overly wide bid/ask spread: GLPI.
The one prospect from my list of innovative companies, NVO, failed confirmation. It last ended a month below its 12-month moving average in October 2013 and so also fails to qualify for a trade under my longer-term rules.

No symbols having made it past the finish line, I intend no trades or further analysis of prospects from Tuesday's markets.

I posted an analysis of two candidates for very short term volatility trades keyed to earnings, PVH and DG, before the opening bell and have taken the trades. See "PVH, DG: Volatility plays".
