Monday's Finalists

The one survivor from the early rounds of analysis, HRB with a bull signal, turns out to have a front-month at-the-money bid/ask spread on calls that is overly wide, and so fails a test for going forward.

SBUX on my supplemental list of innovative companies confirmed its bull signal, although on an intra-day decline. I'm adding it to my Watchlist and will decide whether to trade it later.

For today, though, I won't be opening any new positions based on Friday's markets.

I've analyzed one stock on the verge of publishing earnings, FCX. The post can be read here. The biggest name on list of companies announcing earnings today after the close or tomorrow prior to the open is MSFT. However, it's implied volatility is too low to support a trade of this sort.
