Next week's earnings plays

CORRECTION: I've removed HCP from the list of prospects. It properly belongs to the week that is ending, not the week to come.

Earnings season is nearing it's end and the pace is slowing, with only 849 earnings announcements in view for next week.

Of of that pool, four three prospects have met my criteria for further analysis and possible a trade during the week, based on two criteria: A share price of $30 and above, and average volume of 3 million shares a day and greater.

The prospects are:

Elliott wave analysis tracks patterns in price movements. StockCharts has a good explainer. The principal practioner of Elliott wave analysis is Robert Prechter at Elliott Wave International. His book, Elliott Wave Principle, is a must-read for people interested in this form of analysis, as is his most recent publication, Visual Guide to Elliott Wave Trading.
