Wednesday's Outcomes: EBAY, SPX, DE, VZ

I've decided not to do a very-short-term volatility play on EBAY. See today's analysis, "EBAY: Volatility play", for details.

I sold my long-term hedge against market catastrophe for, well, a catastrophic loss. The only place I mentioned the position was in my Dec. 6, 2012 essay "Cliff Notes (Fiscal Edition"), which I've updated with another essay on the folly of buy-and-hold, unhedged trading. It includes results of the trade.

I've removed two symbols from the Watchlist, a potential bear play on DE and a potential bull play on VZ. See the updates to my Oct. 8 essay "DE: Plowing the downslope" and my Sept. 22 post "Monday's Finalists: TIBX, VZ AGO" for details. The two symbols were never traded, so no results.
