I found no stocks or exchange-traded funds that were new breakouts under my trading rules. That's "no" as in "none", "zero", "nada", "zip".
I did find four stocks that broke above the 55-day price channel, but they are all well within a month of their earnings release, and so they don't count under my rules. The four are LLY, MMMM, PEP and PM.
What I did find in my jog through the charts was a lot of prices pulling away from their price-channel boundaries, sometimes quite dramatically.
It was a bit spooky, like walking alone down a city street at 3 a.m. Maybe everything will be alright, but that does little to calm the chills running down the spine.
