MO Watch

Altria Group Inc. (MO) broke above its recent trading range to a new all-time high, meeting my requirements for entry. The move was accompanies by bull phase on the parabolic sar.

MO $24.45

In an analysis posted on Tuesday, I wrote, "The most cautious [trader] will want to see a breakout of the all-time high of $24.49 before entry." That requirement was met today, with a high of $24.53.

MO is at an entry point for my account.

By setting a new high, MO becomes that most desirable of market beasts: An uptrending stock with only blue sky overheade. There is no upside price resistance.

Earnings will be released on Oct. 20 before the open.
